Gift Responsibly Campaign Levels
To ensure organizations of all sizes can participate, the campaign offers multiple levels of engagement. Participants at each level agree to complete the outlined activities during November and December to the best of their abilities.
For the last five years, 100% of all eligible U.S. and Canadian lotteries have participated in the Gift Responsibly Campaign, along with dozens of international lottery and non-lottery organizations.

- Register as a participant of the 2024 Campaign
- Press Release or Media Alert
- 11+ Educational Social Media Messages Posted (topics may include but are not limited to:?promoting responsible gambling / appropriate age for lottery play / youth gambling stats / parental awareness tips)
- Retailer Training / Messaging on Youth Gambling
- Targeted Print and/or Paid Digital Ads advising parents to ‘Gift Responsibly’ and/or ‘Lottery Tickets are Not for Children’
- Commercial (TV, Radio, Streaming)?or Digital Advertising (Web, Social, Search, Display) advising parents against purchasing lottery tickets as gifts for kids
- Editorial Pitch to media about the importance of not gifting lottery tickets to children during the holiday season.
- Complete post-campaign survey
